As Seen In Metro: Stylish Workout Wear

Today in our Metro column we discussed stylish workout gear.

1. Get in shape and contribute to a good cause with soft, sporty basics from the New Balance “Race for the Cure Collection”, a portion of the proceeds benefits the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The stretchy bootleg running pants are body-hugging, and the tee has a shaped, tailored fit.

2. Nike iD sneakers have all the usual Nike support and comfort, but you can customize every part of the look — from the material to the main color to the details, like the color of the laces or the swoosh along the side.

3. There are a lot of ton of cute yoga bags out there, but most of them just hold your mat, making it necessary to carry a tote *and* the yoga bag. Breathe has solved this problem with a tote bag that straps your mat along the outside.

4. With stores popping up all over the country, American Apparel is our favorite superstore in the making. All of its t-shirts, shorts and undies are made completely sweat-shop free in their downtown LA factory, making it a great place to stock up on basics.
