One-of-a-Kind Find: Vintage Rescue T-Shirts

Ah, Detroit. Home of killer cars, killer music, killer vintage shopping, killers, generally… and the Lafayette Coney Island dog. Thankfully, we’re not talking hot dogs and chili cheese fries here. We’re talking vintage t-shirts, skillfully and imaginatively deconstructed by Detroit’s own Meredith Fleischer. And lucky for us, she calls NYC home now too. Often hilarious and 100% rocker chic, Meredith does all the rifling through piles of vintage possibility and brings you the very best: army t-shirts slapped against strange, artsy clouds; bright maps of Michigan; “Free Winona” meets “Denver Fire Department”; and last but not least, the 1984 GoGo’s Primetime World Tour t-shirt. Each shirt has clever stitching on its newly crafted seams and some even come with stylized perks—like straps. As seen on Britney (she picked hers up at Hotel Venus/ Patricia Field) and Queer Eye’s Kyan. Sold in New York (Hotel Venus, Sophie Roan), Detroit and London. Find yours at vintagerescue.com
