This takes ‘tying the knot’ to a whole new level. Leave it to those kooky Brits. A couple, one can only assume they are knitting fanatics, celebrated their holy matrimony in a completely knitted ceremony. From the dresses to the groom’s top hat, the flowers and confetti, the entire wedding was home-spun by a knitting group. The gallery of pictures is worth a look, find it on castoff.info. Knitting has a major calming effect so I’m sure planning this wedding was stress free.
I am a knitter. Though I cannot manage anything other than one long strip of stitches I like to call ‘a scarf,’ I still consider myself part of the club. A few years ago knitting blew up as the craft of choice. Hipsters, punk, goth, corporate- it crosses the cliques, everyone knits. The AntiCraft has a unique little motto: “You’re going to die anyway, so you might as well knit.” My sentiments exactly. Find ultra-cool skull patterns and definitively un-granny projects on the theanticraft.com.
