SheFinds News: The Maybelline New York Beauty Studio

Last night Maybelline New York celebrated the launch of their new Spring 2006 collection with a swanky soirée. It was hosted by Sex and the City alum Kristin Davis, who was absolutely lovely in a form fitting skirt and very Charlotte-esque round-toe heels. She was gracious and glowing, celebrating one year as the face of Maybelline. Held in a prime venue on Fifth Avenue, the event was full out red carpet.

(I had the unfortunate timing of arriving right after the gorgeous Erin Wasson and Maybelline New York’s star makeup artist Troy Surratt. Few things can humble a girl like the sudden darkness of the paparazzi when taking the required stroll down the red carpet to gain entry to a party.)

The requisite cocktails were flowing and what party would be complete without handsome men serving drinks and passing hors d’oeuvres? I think they ripped their servers out of an Abercrombie catalog. One of the highlights of the evening was a performance by Delta Goodrem, a truly beautiful girl, multi-Platinum singer/songwriter from Australia, cancer survivor, and she’s only 20! She was luminous behind the piano. I predict she’ll make waves in the U.S. as the next Sarah McLachlan. Decide for yourself, hear her at Maybelline.com.
