Why: It’s the most wonderful time of the year: the post-holiday-decide-what-to-do-with-all-your-gift-cards time. I always have an internal debate about whether to spend wisely on a bunch of stuff I need or to blow it all on one big-ticket must-have. This year, thanks to the use-anywhere beauty of AmEx and Visa gift cards, I’m going to use my haul to put a dent in the bill for this lovely full-skirted polka dot party dress. I’ve drooled over the black and white version in the December issues of Domino and Glamour, and New Year’s is the perfect occasion to break out this mod, strapless figure flatterer. With the Rose Bowl Parade on New Year’s Day, isn’t it only fitting that I wear something petal perfect and fit for a princess, too?
