Why: We’ve done a lot of glowing (sweating) this summer, mainly due to the wicked humidity and here in NYC, there are the perversely crowded subways. For a genuine, healthy glow, I seriously urge you to check out the brand spankin new Nabi MedSpa. Nabi means butterfly in Korean, and the transformative powers of the VibraDermabrasion facial definitely turned me from a sweaty old caterpillar into a beautiful butterfly. My skin looked so good, my mother asked if I was pregnant. My visit began with a brief, painless skin analysis with the results displayed in six Warhol-esque images.

It is awesome to know exactly how many blackheads you have. The great part of this is the personalized treatment plan the incredibly knowledgeable staff create. They also have a highly experienced RN (registered nurse) full-time, which always makes me feel better when needles are involved.

To best re-create my spa experience at home, I’ve found that the Lancôme RESURFACE-C MICRODERMABRASION ($85.00) kit works wonders. Just enough resurfacing to leave your face silky smooth without removing an entire layer of skin. My mother, sister and I have not stopped rubbing our cheeks.
