Eco-Chic: Organic Spray Tan

image

I’ve tried UV-less spray tanning, it left a terrible smell on my skin and I swore never again. That was before experiencing Organic Spray Tan at Smooth Synergy, a cosmedic spa run by Nicole Contos in tandem with her husband’s medical practice. The spa is known for the Fanny Facial and they’re one of the few in NYC to offer organic bronzing.

The solution, containing absolutely no potentially harmful chemicals or preservatives, is even safe to drink. Not that one would, but the knowledge is reassuring. The initial intense bronze washed off in the first shower (wait 12 hours). What remained was a beautiful, natural tan that lasted 5-7 days with proper care.

Try an organic sunless tanner at home. Decleor Aroma Sun Hydrating Self-Tanning Milk SPF 8 ($35, Sephora) is one of the best and least stinky. Ingredients are 100% organic and you won’t have to give up your summer glow.
