Editor’s Pick For Tee Week: Jib Hunt

I’m ending our Tee Week with a designer who strikes the ideal balance between urbanite hipster and girly prepster. The designs are coolly modern, tough with unexpected touches of heart- just like the messages imprinted on the signature dog tags that accompany each tee (custom artwork + a 30″ chain).

Why: The fit is proportioned. (Order a size up if you’re top heavy to avoid ‘the graphic stretch.’ ) Many of the designs pop up in men’s sizes- don’t be alarmed, they’re body conscious, you won’t be swimming in cotton. The fabric is soft but not too thin, and obviously my shirt didn’t fall apart in the wash or I wouldn’t be about to wax poetic on why I dig the designs. There are simple, unfussy illustrations mixed in with ephemeral art and political symbolism. The mostly monochromatic color schemes mean fashion freedom. Pull yourself together with gemstone jewelry, bermudas, and hip heels. Kick back in denim and flats- or my pick, a pair of Draven slip-ons. It doesn’t matter how you do it, these tees are totally wearable.
