What: Lancôme: The Boutique
Why: When I heard that Lancôme was opening its first freestanding location in New York City, and I was invited to the party, well it was better than being invited to the North Pole for milk and cookies with Santa and Mrs. Claus. The boutique itself is immaculate, with rows and rows of glimmering glosses, creams and shadows, just beckoning me to moisturize, beautify and revitalize my hot tired New York skin.

I was so caught up in the Christmas-in-July moment that I went completely against type and let Leo, one of their fantastic makeup artists, “glam†me up. Pink and orange eye shadow. Sounds tacky, looked amazing, if I do say so myself.
