Eco-Chic: It’s a Trend

The May Issue of Vanity Fair is its first “Green Issue” beginning an “increased commitment to reporting on the threat to our precious environment.” Editor Graydon Carter hopes to start a new trend, “Green is the new black.” As gorgeous as Annie Leibowitz’s cover of socially conscious celebs is, Vanity Fair is printed on nonrecycled glossy pages covered in ads for
fossil fuel feeding SUV’s. Still, it’s a must-read, especially the Green Guide to 50 simple things you can do every day to help save the planet.
