Beauty Trend: Bejeweled Eyes

Previews of fall beauty collections have been rolling out for about a month now, and though there’s some debate (nude lips or berry? No mascara or tons of fake lashes?) one thing is clear: The eyes have it for fall, with rich jewel tones as the centerpiece of nearly every collection. The colors are rich and shimmery, but sheer enough for every day wear (yes, believe it or not!). The hottest hues: Deep almost-green teals, plummy purples, and rich bronze. Don’t be afraid to get a head start and do a summer preview. Use a small, dampened liner brush to smudge a thin line of shadow that thickens a tad before reaching the outer edge of the eye.
