Eco-Chic: Clean Hands
Bacteria is not trendy. Viruses are not chic. Germs are completely un-hip. You don’t have to be OCD to want to get rid of microscopic evil wherever it lurks. In our EcoClean newsletter we found products to get rid of the dirty buggers without leaving even worse stuff behind. But the best defense against tiny invaders is to wash your hands. To continue the eco-friendliness of clean, I use Method Foaming Hand Wash. I love this stuff because it saves water. The special pump delivers foamy suds so you can lather without having to turn on the tap except to rinse.
You can’t always carry soap with you, and you can’t always find a place to wash your hands after you’ve touched something questionable. Hand sanitizers have been trendy for years, but the problem with traditional ones is that they’re made from harsh chemicals that can lead to the development of super bacteria if used too much. Yikes.
Nature provides plenty of anti-bacterials that aren’t harmful to you or the future. Method’s hand sanitizer utilizes alcohol. If you’re prone to dry skin, check out CleanWell’s suite of hand sanitizer products. Their sprays and wipes are made with an all-natural compound whose main ingredient is Thyme. You can also use them to quickly sanitize small surfaces at home or work. Now you can keep your hands clean without worrying about the impending super bacteria apocalypse you might be creating.
