She’s a maniac, maniac! And not just because of her affinity for nose candy and disheveled, doped up boyfriends. Kate Moss is now channeling Jennifer Beals by sporting a full on leotard. You know – the kind you used to wear to jazz class on Saturday mornings at the rec center.
Call me conservative, but my eyes popped when I started seeing tap shorts on the likes of Kate Bosworth and Sienna Miller. Oh, silly me. Didn’t I realize that was just the beginning? As per the recent exposé of Jennifer Love-Hewitt’s, ahem, assets, one would think celebrities would opt to cover the derrière from ruthless paparazzi. Apparently that’s not the case. However, if you’re Kate Moss, there’s not much behind to comment on.
Now the girl has got to be cold. Maybe if she had remembered her bottom half, she wouldn’t have had to skin half the sheep in England to keep warm. But it’s a choice. A choice I must applaud. The onesey is quite unexpected, and offers a kitschy alternative to the little black dress (a very tiny alternative, but one nonetheless). Paired with chunky, masculine boots and a monster coat, the minimal covering of the leotard makes for a nice balancing act.
Hats off to Kate–or pants off, in this case. So what’s next in this nod to pliés, jazz hands, and step-ball-change? How about pink satin lace-up toe shoes? They’d go so nicely with the Prada plastic fringe coat. Keep on eye on Moss for that one.

I can remember wearing my leotard and tights complete with the mandatory leg warmers to Aerobics class 3 times a week after work way back when, who knows maybe I can find the headband to match the leg warmers.
