What: 3LAB The “h” Serum

Why: To earn a coveted spot in Makeover Madness week, a product had to really change something. Products offering short term or superficial effects don’t deserve the makeover moniker. So, I was not counting on a face serum making it into the countdown, but this face serum has left my skin looking just as “made” over as any facial. What makes this serum so special is that it’s the first topical bioengineered human growth hormone approved for cosmetic use. I was under the impression that HGH was for sick kids and juiceheads (steroid abusing athletes), but it makes a lot of sense to slather the stuff on your face. The hormone returns your rate of skin cell regeneration to a level comparable to that which occurred in your youth, leaving you with not just with skin that looks younger, but skin that is younger.

I’m pretty wary of all these “miracle” products claiming to be the fountain of youth bottled in a tiny, overpriced tub, so I used this product for the last two months before I came to any conclusion. My skin looks amazing, it’s soft, supple, and I swear those tiny little lines that started to creep in aren’t quite as noticeable.
Sometimes, regressing isn’t such a bad thing.
