Masstige Preview: Isaac Mizrahi for Target Fall ’07

Looking for the latest in Fall Fashion 2007? Check out our latest trend reports , our new Fall Handbag Guide and stay in the loop by signing up to our free weekly newsletter.

Let’s revisit some of the past Target collections: Proenza Schouler sent the masses into a fury trying to get that little bustier top, Patrick Robinson left us all with a sense that something was missing, Libertine was mostly lackluster despite a few finds we liked, the highly anticipated Alice Temperley line launches September 16th and in conjunction with the launch of Erin Fetherston, which we assume will flop standing by the side of the Temperly line. In all cases, the lines were hit or miss.

Target’s granddaddy of the masstige trend, Isaac Mizrahi, has been left out of the buzz for the last few seasons, but we’re thinking there’s good reason to check out the Fall line.  Just look at the pictures below. The collection is based off of clean, classic lines, flattering silhouettes, subtle details and perfect fall colors. Not only is the collection wearable for everyone, but it’s pretty and polished. If the craftsmanship holds up (as I’ve seen before with Mizrahi goods), some of the items will even serve you for a second or third season.

We think it’s the epitome of beautiful on a budget. What do you think?

Great call on revisiting Isaac Mizrahi’s line. After a few disappointing seasons, his newest line for Target is right back on track. I can’t wait to try on a few of these looks!

Some of Isaac’s fall collection is already on Target.com, but many of the pieces are not there. The Target site doesn’t give any dates for release. I’m dying for that black lambskin skirt, the black plaid jacket, the red fringe skirt . . . all of which are not on the website yet!

That 2nd outfit is pretty good.

Over at theBargainQueen.com, we feature a lot of Isaac Mizrahi’s clothing and accessories. It’s an easy choice since he has it right on style, quality, and price.

At cheapdiva.net we do a lot of budget friendly fashion and it’s constant challenge to find stuff that is both cheap and chic. Target and Isaac Mizrahi consistently turn out fashion that delivers chic at a good price.

I love Target. No matter what you are looking for you can find it at Target. Even if you are looking for something specific and it is no where in site, you can easily find something to take its place.
