Oscars Style: Rinko Kikuchi

Dear SheFinds,

I really had you going, didn’t I? Wearing that purple cotton-ball dress to the Golden Globes; walking around in weird half boots and outfits that looked more Derelict than Diva. But don’t you see, I had to let you think I was fashion-blind – mostly because it was fantastic publicity. But not just that – also because I’m like the beautiful butterfly which must start as an ugly caterpillar, so that when it spreads its wings, it’s even more beautiful than people had imagined it could be.

All it took was a fantastic shaper, and a fishtail-hem gown with stunning textural detaiI.

I forgive you for thinking I was serious “before.” I hope you now see me as the “after” I was always meant to be.
