SheFinds Must Read: Rachel Zoe in The New York Times Magazine

If you've ever wondered why exactly celebrities need stylists or what exactly these stylists get paid (so much) to do, look no further than to uber-stylist Rachel Zoe who's profiled in the latest edition of The New York Times Magazine.

You may know Zoe from her young, fabulous clientele – Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton, the list goes on – or for the signature look she's created. Yes, you know it: thin girl, long hair, big sunglasses, big bag, lots of jewelry, etc.

Zoe, arguably the stylist of all stylists, happens to be very clear on what she's doing. "We aren't saving lives here," she says "but we are creating images, and images create opportunities in a lot of areas." That's for sure.

I'll admit I didn't particularly care for Zoe when she first started to become big. I'd like to say it was all because she seemed to promote unhealthy body images in young women, but I can't deny part of me was just plain jealous. At the end of the day (and this article), though, you have to respect Zoe. Not only does this woman have some serious business-savvy, she's got style.

Check out these Zoe-inspired fashions.

I agree, a very good article. It is one of the most interesting/ least gossipy articles on the Zoe phenomenon and includes good insight into the rapidly growing business of celebrity styling.
