One blog to another, we have to give credit where credit’s due. The Sartorialist is one of our absolute favorite fashion blogs because it’s different. Instead of being celebrity-driven, The Sartorialist is all about featuring real people. Sure designers and the fashion elite show up occasionally, but for the most part, everyone you see on the blog is just like you and me. They also happen to be super-stylish and chic and there have been countless looks we’ve wanted to imitate. Here are a few we’re thinking of recreating:
The first look is all about the accessories. Her wide belt, shoes and bag really set the outfit apart. I love the second picture because I have always been a skeptic of high-waisted pants, but she really pulls them off, not to mention her menswear-inspired wingtips. The layering in the third image is what makes it so great. The sweater
over the vest
over the tee topped off with a thin belt
works so well. And lastly, the always-lovely Carolina Hererra in classic black and white. The look is simultaneously trendy and tailored, with a simple white shirt tucked into a full skirt.
