Swedish Secret Weapon: Eggwhite Facials?

image

What: Victoria Scandinavian Soap Company’s Lanolin Agg Tval Eggwhite Facial Soap

Why: When I first saw this product I was extremely skeptical. Sure the Swedes have porcelain-like skin, but that’s all genes, right? Of course, silly! But, and here’s the most important part, there’s nothing wrong with a little extra TLC for your skin, and that’s exactly what this soap provides.

Unlike typical soaps, which are drying to the skin, this lanolin and rose water soap infusion actually leaves skin tremendously soft. My skin has looked and felt so great using this little bar of beauty soap that I’ve shunned my *gasp* trusty Dove to the back of my beauty drawer.

Thanks to the egg white, once you rinse, what you get is a tight, soft, radiant complexion. Unfortunately, as The Beauty Brains explains, this is a temporary effect, not like the results you would get from a lifetime application of Retin-A.

Nonetheless, while you can curse your genes all you want, you can’t blame this soap for trying. I easily deem it my favorite facial soap by far.

Price: $16 for 6 Bars
