Taste Test: Which Ankle Booties are the Better Bargain?

Would you drop almost a thousand smackers on a hot trend? What if that trend was unflattering to a huge portion of the population? Ankle booties with extreme heels are showing all the signs of a fall trend on the rise. Paired with short trapeze dresses and tights, they can make an outfit look like it came straight off the runway. They can also cut a woman off right at the ankles, making her legs look short and squat. Personally, I wouldn’t want to risk it. For me, a trend test-drive should be less than $100. If it works, fantastic — a great look for a relative bargain. If it flops, fine — at least I didn’t blow an entire paycheck.
