Trend Alert: Mini Me

What: Who wears short skirts?

Why: Short things send fear straight to my heart. Whenever I hear the word ‘cropped’ or ‘short’ come into play, I immediately think of 80s-cut off t-shirts, side ponytails and hot pink leg warmers. I have scary visions of hot pants and tight, unflattering micro minis. All of which, regrettably, I believe I owned.

Understandably, I felt some trepidation when I first recognized that mini skirts are back in for this season, but there was no reason to fear. The good news is, mini styles aren’t all the same, with some flared with pleats, some sculpted to your body and others which draw a line somewhere in between, so there’s a flattering mini out there for everyone.

The bad news? My legs are still a pasty shade of winter-white, not exactly mini worthy. Luckily, it’s nothing a good pair of textured tights can’t handle, which is good because I’m ready to give mini’s another chance.

I love mini skirts. They are a sweet option for all seasons and look very nice and feminine.
    This is surely great news.
