Trend Alert: The Cocktail Ring Is Back!
Cocktail rings were first popularized in the '40s and '50s, but the oversize styling and glitz has made a comeback. Just peruse the jewelry section in any department store and you'll see that these big, bad beauties are what's hot. Whatever soirée you have on the docket, consider pairing up your fab cocktail dress with one of these bejeweled creations — the bigger, the better.
Where to start? Cocktail rings come in all colors, styles and price points, with both precious and semi-precious stones, gold and silver, and even plastic as their main features. We say, buy it for looks and buy it for life — hmm… strange reference to Moen faucets, but you get my point. Plastic baubles are cool if you just want to try the trend (as in this sparkly, yellow plastic humdinger from Urban Outfitters that will set you back a mere $6), but a ring that makes you go "wow" is one that you'll treasure for years to come.
