Vaseline: My Cheapie Beauty Confession

I have something I need to confess…something I’ve never told any of my closest friends. It’s a secret about my beauty regimen that I’m slightly embarrassed to share. OK, here goes…my favorite beauty product is…Vaseline. There, I said it. You heard me right, I’m talkin’ petroleum jelly.

While this stuff is horribly generic-looking, it is the bomb, and word has it that this product is a makeup artist’s secret weapon. Sure, it looks like something your grandpa might have in his medicine cabinet, but this little cheapie wonder is perfect for removing eye makeup (while hydrating the delicate skin around the eyes) and does magic to your lips.

For me, Vaseline is part of my daily regimen and I highly recommend adopting it to yours by applying a light dab of this glorious goo to your lips once in the morning and once at night to keep them kissably soft. If you do decide to try this stuff out, be sure to get the tub, not the tube. I’d remind you to keep this tidbit to yourself, but once you try this out for yourself, your lips will be so soft they’ll never kiss and tell.
