Bringing The Sample Sale To Your Bedroom: Hautelook

A couple months ago upon arriving in New York, I stepped into my first sample sale. It was a cathartic moment characteristic of Joyce or Flannery O'Connor. I found God, and he was loving me back through deep discounts on in-season apparel. Staring at a rack of Thread Social dresses marked down to $102, I understood what those drunken Rock of Love girls were feeling when they complained about not getting their alone time with questionably wigged Bret Michaels. I was ready to fight a stripper to get to my cheap dress. Shoot, bring on two strippers. I was channeling the force.
But then Hautelook.com came along. About once a week the site launches a limited time sale (generally around 48 hours) of amazing designers like Ya-Ya Aflalow, Robert Rodriguez, Development, Habitual, and Gryphon. Supply is limited, and it is first-come-first-serve, so you may find yourself sitting at your computer at 4:55 AM in your pajamas… clicking madly, credit card clenched between your teeth. Or maybe that's just me.
The selection of wares is dependent upon the featured designer, but with regular markdowns approaching 80% off, it's worth a look.
