Sweater dresses can offer welcome respite from a tailored, stiff fall work wardrobe. These three neutrals will fast become staples.
The pattern on this crisscross sweater dress ($90, was $130) mimics an empire waistline, and vertical lines are slimming through the torso and thighs.
For a smoldering nighttime look, wear this shawl-collar belted sweater dress ($90, was $130) alone, or try a white shirt underneath for the office.
The shape of this ruffle sweater dress ($90, was $130) – with half-sleeves, a v-neck, and empire waist – is almost universally flattering.

I saw a fall fashion trend show last week on morning TV. I think it was on GMA or the Today show. The show featured about 6 women wearing skirts/dresses. A girl wearing “stir-up” leggings with a short grey skirt, another Bohemian type bluey green dress (hippy?) and a cool black girl wearing a more punk look with a black leather studded jacket and skirt. Do you recall this show? It was either 9/22 or 9/23? I want to see these fashions again! Did you catch this?
