Fashion Week Diary: Abaete

Dear Diary,

The Abaeté show was my first of fashion week, and I was a little apprehensive as to how the week was going to kick off. The crowd was quite large for the show, and they didn't have me on the list – although I had both a telephone and email confirmation. Not a good start. But the gods were smiling, and once I mentioned SheFinds, the iron curtain parted. After waiting a good thirty minutes past the intended start time – of which I spent staring at Nigel from Top Model – the show started. And what a show it was. Every look that walked down the runway was chic, modern, and totally wearable! Abaeté was big on the booties with socks look, as well as the knit hood – the King Arthur medieval kind. Her Fall 08 palette was made up of greys, whites, and blacks, with some splashes of purple thrown in. For those of you not familiar with Abaeté, she does a collaboration with Payless, offering adorable shoes for dirt cheap. And below are some looks from past seasons.

Love,

SheFinds
