However, a recent consumer alert put out by the National Retail Federation uncovered a frightening truth. Well-known beauty products are being targeted by organized crime rings who confiscate large amounts and re-sell at discounted prices through online auction houses. The problem with this process is that many products are not stored at correct temperatures or otherwise cared for properly, resulting in naive consumers receiving sub-quality goods and ultimately putting their health at risk.
