Lengthen Your Legs (For Less Than $100,000)

Brushing off yet another friend’s midday Botox break doesn’t mean we’re completely desensitized to increasingly out-there forms of cosmetic enhancement; I’m looking at you, leg-lengthening surgery. The procedure, a painful surgery most often used to correct deformities and injuries, is now sometimes performed to give short patients extra inches – up to three – at a cost of over $100,000.

Of course, we’d rather turn to fashion first. To give the illusion of extra altitude – albeit only until you change into PJs – look for pants that are fitted through the knee, a hem that hits the top of your foot, and a substantial heel to elevate the whole ensemble.
