Break out your BeDazzlers ladies – jewels are back.
Same as we Americans wear fashion brands that show on the runways in Paris, London, and Milan, the Japanese often wander off the beaten path and wear foreign trends. Japan Vogue, although mostly in Japanese, has some English headlines, and through the characters I was able to find a Trend Watch section where the online editors explicitly pointed its readers to a jewel trend. The site showed this lovely Japanese girl as their poster child for the return of the jewel.

Belts, shoes, earrings, rings, necklaces, and bags are where they recommend the fad be sported in an ensemble. It was quite surprising to me to find out that young Japanese women wear many of the same brands as American women.
This unique Missoni sash belt ($375) can be worn with a simple outfit to take it to the next level, or team it with contrasting hues for an on-trend clashing effect (much like the Japanese would). Wear this sterling silver marcasite cross pendant necklace ($20) to bring out the bling.
These Sergio Rossi jeweled stilettos are the perfect punch to an LBD – and are on sale for $365 from $730. If flats are more your style, never fear, Steve Madden is here. The always-up-to-the-minute often blatantly trend stealing designer has these incredibly cheap, yet right on the mark, black jeweled t-strap flats for just $40.
This jeweled cuff bracelet from spielgel.com is 2 inches wide with bold, faceted stones and plastic beads in a filigree setting for just $19. My fav of the bunch is these jeweled enamel bracelets ($265) from Replica Collection available at kitson.com.
