Every season I feel like I need to purge my closet. With the turnover rate of trends these days, I'm already feeling buyer's remorse about the spring styles I’ve been splurging on these last few weeks. I know me and I won't be able to stand the things I just bought in six months! It's the torture of being a fashion victim.
So, my first goal this spring is to buy more fashion classics than spur of the moment fads. Great idea, right? Well, to add to my frustration, timeless pieces can cost just as much, if not more, than trends. So, goal two: buy classics at discount prices.
My list of necessary ageless pieces includes a trench, wellies, a printed scarf, pair of loafers, a new little black dress, and a great pair of aviator sunglasses. Tom Cruise may belong in the loony-bin but the sunglasses he made cool in Top Gun willl never go out of style.
Designer sunglasses can run a gal upwards of $600. So, I searched high and low to find 3 pairs of aviators for under $100. Take your pick…
This pair of Kenneth Cole aviators is on sale for just $69.98 (was $98). The only color left is brushed metal lenses with gold frames – but they're absolutely adorable.
These Ad Metal Aviator sunglasses are just $69.00 (were $89) and come in four fabulous colors: copper (shown here), navy, silver, and bronze.
And my favorite pair of the bunch, Ray-Ban 3214 Rimless Aviator Sunglasses. These classic shades are sure to take you into the next decade – and on sale for $99 (were $150) you can't pass them up.
