Modern, edgy designer Jonathan Saunders’ cheap chic line hit Target stores this weekend. My heart always races when a swank designer reveals a new mass spread. How will it translate? Will it be true to the designer’s core? Am I about to uncover a fabulous find?
Every item in Jonathan Saunders’ collection was tried on and there are, in fact, a few no-brainer pieces to scoop up this month that truly deliver the heart of his designer talents at a great price.
With a wide satin band in the front and a super-sexy zipper in the back, this sexy knit black skirt ($27) is a total nod to his current couture line in stores now.
These knit skinny pants ($35) are now in my closet. They come in both black & navy and are well-constructed. The knit fabric is fairly thick and these are definitely more comfortable than my dark skinny jeans (you can actually sit down in these). Pair them with this pleated multi-color blouse ($27), which looks cute a little tight. For good measure, be sure to spring a few buttons at the top.
Not all of us may be huge devotees of Jonathan’s seeming mad skills in the graphic print or color-blocking department. However, we can appreciate the quality of the ribbed knit banding in this adorable tunic sweater ($30). Wear it over jeans or with tights. This one was almost sold out at the Target near me, but is still available online.
