Leave My Umbrella Alone: It Likes To Stand By Itself

image

What: Hiranao Tsuboi's Stand Umbrella, $42

Why: As we leave the cold, unpredictable days of March behind us, we'd hope that the next month would bring endless rays of sunshine and outdoor café-worthy weather. Alas, such is not the case, as today marks the first day of the rainiest month of the year. So rather than hole ourselves inside in order to avoid frizzy rain hair and soggy heels, SheFinds has decided to make the best of the situation and hunt down the trendiest, most innovative, and oddest umbrellas out there. We've already told you about the creepy looking yet incredibly functional Nubrella, but there are plenty more where that came from – and these won't necessarily encompass your head in a clear plastic snowglobe.

This Stand Umbrella by Tsuboi stands on its own when placed upright and upside down. The mini tripod permanently placed at its top frees your hands from becoming a soaking mess from holding your umbrella. It also keeps your floor from collecting a puddle of water when you are forced to stash your umbrella sloppily in the corner. If things keep going this way, we might soon have umbrellas that open and close for us, carry our bags, or walk the dog in the rain so we can stay cuddled up inside on the couch watching Law & Order marathons. Then I wouldn't mind these April showers so much.
