image

What: Kara Ross Maple Wood Cuff, $6000

Why: Slaving away hunched over your office computer can make any girl want to give up and run away with the hot mail guy. But what if you knew there was a light at the end of the tunnel? And if you just held out long enough, and kept saving up those paychecks, you'd be able to buy something that would distinquish you as the ultimate fashion plate?

This maple wood and peridot cuff by Kara Ross is the epitome of a hip, fashion-forward accessory, hitting on every of-the-moment trend from tribal to chunky to bold. And when you're finally the envy of all of your friends, you'll barely remember all of those fun social events you missed because your boss kept you late making extra copies. Who needs a life when you look fabulous?

…wow, this is a joke, right?

In what universe is a trendy $6,000 wooden bracelet worth any girl’s time and money?

no kidding. I have a friend who carves wood. I’ll have him make me one. :)

bryn (editor of shefinds) and I were actually arguing about this one – I think it’s over the top – I mean MAYBE if it was made of diamonds. I’d spend $6K on a birkin if I hit it big, but never a wood bracelet.

thanks for your input everybody– but this is supposed to be a fantasy item… not something we really intend (or can afford!) to buy. nobody we know could or would drop 6k on a bracelet. nevertheless, we think it’s pretty chic looking. Keep the comments coming..
