Cries of joy were heard this Labor Day weekend as men celebrated the return of football season. But last night was the ladies’ turn as we eagerly gathered round the flatscreen with anticipation as CW’s Gossip Girl returned for Season Two. We must say that the premiere did not disappoint and we had a few OMFG moments of our own with the hookups, heartbreaks, and the credit-line-increase-request wardrobes.
While shopping in the Hamptons, Blair and Serena's dresses weren't as noteworthy as those handbags they were carrying. Blair’s Kate Spade Little Compton Sossity Bag (on sale for $198) lived up to her precious-but-precocious uniform, but the showstopper was Serena’s Chanel Puzzle Tote (approximately $2450). Instead of standing outside the Chanel store to purchase one, just borrow it from our friends at Bag Borrow Or Steal.
Enter our new vixen, Nate’s Mrs.Robinson-esque love interest, Catherine, portrayed by Madchen Amick (one of our personal favorites). Every sex kitten needs her prowling gear, and her Diane Von Furstenberg Pelego Tie-Dye wrap dress (on sale for $119.40) gave her just enough tigress allure to keep young Nate coming back for more.
Oh the jewels, the break-ups, and real-life New York socialite Tinsley Mortimer! We’re officially in love with Gossip Girl all over again and we’ll keep you posted on all the finds from the show and other hot premieres moving into the fall TV season.
