SheFinds Fashion Week Diaries: Academy of Art

image

Dear Diary,

You know those fabulous celebrities who just stroll into the Fashion Week shows and plop down in their runway-side seats without a care in the world? Well, on the night of the Academy of Art show, that was us — well, minus the celebrity part. It was about time that we were the ones enjoying the extra leg room in the front row while the rest of the guests scrambled around behind us attempting to get a better view.

If there was ever a first class of Fashion Week, this was it: sitting across from Melrose of America's Next Top Model, being an arms length away from Nigel Barker (who looked as handsome as ever in a pinstriped suit). At one point I was even tempted to put on my favorite pair of Burberry shades — turns out, the lights are actually pretty blinding when you're up that close. A girl could really get used to having Anna Wintour-like status. Before you know it I’ll be courtside at the US Open swooning over Roger Federer.

Love,
SheFinds

To celebrate the highest level of SheFinds respect we received throughout the entire week, here are the best front row-worthy shades we could find:

Don’t forget to check out the photos of this amazing show by the talented and fast track bound design students of the Academy. And don’t miss our not so A-list experiences at BCBG, Abaeté, Gottex & Tracy Reese, and Rosa Cha.
