Yesterday's NY Times pointed out a street trend celebs have been embracing for a while now – summer scarves. But these trendy starlets have cranked it up a notch, opting for funky ethnic prints to keep their necks warm in the middle of a heat wave.
From Sienna, the Brit that brought bohemian chic back in '04 to Jessica Alba and the Olsens who bring us new trends each season, young celebs are all over these summer ethnic printed scarves. They're tossing it over one shoulder, tying it in a square knot, wrapping once around the neck, tripling it completely around their neck, rolling it in various ways, and even just letting it hang.

The Antik Batik Deborah Pareo/Scarf ($170) is long enough to be worn as a sarong, a wrap skirt, or a neck accessory. The Etro Animal Print Scarf ($610) is a soft and silky cashmere blend (best suited for those random cold or windy days) with metallic threads woven sporadically throughout for a luxurious allure.
The Lucky Brand Jeans' Bright Stripe Scarf ($42, was 84) is created with sari-print flair against bright stripes for a fabulously global look. The Diane von Furstenberg Bora Bora Tahitian Maze Scarf in Fuchsia is 100% silk with a hexagonal Tahitian-inspired print for $170. And the fuchsia Sir Alistair Rai women's woven cotton dupatta ($155) with crystal artwork says "Love" in crystals.
