Update: Anya Hindmarch’s I’m Not a Plastic Bag

Have you ever seen such a fuss over a single bag? This undoubtedly overshadows the likes of Prada, Louis and Hermes (at least for the time being). Anya Hindmarch's I'm Not a Plastic Bag was first spotted on Keira Knightley and other A-listers this past spring. Since then the once $5 bag has turned into an overnight success and is selling for as much as $300 on eBay! Who has that kind of cash lying around to spend on a bag that was actually manufactured in China and not under any fair-trade practice or eco-friendly manufacturing procedures? Obviously, people are willing to buy it even though you can get something just as nice and even more fashionable for a fraction of the price. Still, the point is that today New Yorkers can rejoice, for the famed bag is coming to Whole Foods today! They'll run you a mere $15, but you can only buy three. You better hurry because they're going to sell like hot cakes if they haven't sold out already.

I’ve gone green by recycling at home and by instituting a recycling program at my office. We collect everyone’s cans, bottles, etc and I drop them off at the local recycling center. With 70 people who are soda-addicts, it makes a big difference. Also, my old car broke down and I’m shopping to buy a hybrid.

I got tired of the mountain of plastic bags from stores I shop at that break before I get them in the house. So I started buying the cloth bags from these stores. They are very reasonably priced. Much stronger and easier to carry. I just throw them in the washer and they come out like new. No more mountain of plastic bags and much better for the enviroment.

    I love this bag!

My husband & I travel 45 mins to grocery shop, so that we can buy all natural & Organic foods. We also compost as much waste as we possibly can.

We only buy Natural diapers, wipes etc for our baby. And 90% of the cleaning products we use are natural or organic. We only use paper bags at the checkout!

We started by switching our lighbulbs a couple years back, then onto flex fuel cars and now cloth diapers and wipes.

I’d like to request the bag for someone else-Dr. Christy Shae of NY-not only is she an amazing holistic doctor but she has been educating all who know her about the virtues of “going green” for both personal & environmental reasons! She is just launching (at GO GREEN EXPO in NY April 26 & 27) http://www.greenkidsauction.com which will be featured on Channel 11 News at 8:50am FRIDAY morning! EVERYONE can reduce, reuse, & recycle their gently-worn or unused kids items! She would LOVE the bag! :)
