After spending the beginning of sandal season in the ankle-deep mud of rural New Hampshire, I arrived in Manhattan woefully understocked in the footwear department –even I am not sufficiently devoted to outfit perfection to brave pretty sandals during the New England mud season.
So I turned to the easiest sandal solution I know for reasonably-price style: Dolce Vita. In no time at all, I’d found these minimalist shiny black sandals ($50), which are surprisingly comfortable after the first two wears.
I’ve been strapping them on with everything from circle skirts to sundresses – they always look fabulous, because the open cut and vertical strap don’t interrupt the line of your leg and actually elongate the foot – making them especially ideal for shorter styles that call for flats.
I think they’d also look smashing with a pair of black Bermudas. And If you like the look of the Dahlia but need a glitzier summer flat, check out SheFindsKristin’s glam Nine West sandals.
