You can’t avoid the swine flu news – or photos of Speidi on honeymoon in their mandatory face masks (but that’s at least entertaining). We’re all caught up in the hype right now and if it’s making you want to take extra precaution to fight the germs, we found some products that can help you from getting sick – from pigs or anything else.
And until the fashion industry starts churning out those designer face masks, just wear a scarf.
We already told you about pocket-sized hand sanitizer, but if coming into contact with any surface on the subway makes you feel lightheaded, the Transtrap ($14.95) will allow you to ride without issue.
If you must cover the hands with gloves, choose a pair that’s relatively lightweight and inexpensive like these unisex gloves from American Apparel ($14).
If you feel like the germs just follow you right on home, check out the UV-C Light Sanitizer ($20) for your toothbrush. It looks like a compact travel box, but when you shut the lid ultraviolet light floods the holder and kills 99% of the germs and bacteria on your brush.
