Ooh, I tried that once. Didn't have bad heels - just a little dry (AZ dries your skin out). Got carried away. Heels were really soft when I finished. Then my heels started hurting. It took a week and two days for my heels to heal. Then I got the real surprise - when the skin grew back - it was thick and hard. I had created a problem where there was NONE! I did figure out how to repair the problem - I will be posting tips on how to make your heels soft again on my site in a few days.

I recently tried the ped egg after getting it as a gift a few months ago, and let me tell you... THAT THING IS AMAZING!!! I wasn't in a big rush to use it because my feet aren't in too bad of shape and I didn't think it would really work, but I was so wrong. I used it on a hard patch of skin that I'd developed at the ball of my foot and then put lotion on, and the next morning my feet felt so much smoother! Sooo glad I tried it :)
