Chanel’s Jade Rose Polish Is More Useful Than Its Cryptic Title Would Suggest

In all the hubbub surrounding Chanel’s recent release of its jade nail polish, the simultaneous launch of the jade rose version of the polish was more or less completely overlooked (thanks to Stylelist for the tip).  We don’t know what “jade rose” is supposed to be (green pink?  what’s green pink?) but in its Chanel incarnation, the color is a beautiful, versatile dusty baby pink.

We can’t wait to wear it, and it’s available right now.   However, at twenty-five bucks a bottle, we’re also strongly considering a couple of equally pretty, far less pricey versions of the dusty shade of rose:

L’Oreal’s Sweet Chiffon polish ($5) and Ulta’s well-titled Girl Next Door ($7.50) are both good hues of classic baby pink.  They’ll keep your nails looking subtly chic without being, well, green (or priced at Chanel levels).

Need makeup to go with a stylish set of nails?  We’d recommend taking a gander at some of the best mascara, eyeliners, and concealers.

I think the name makes sense because jade comes in a pink color that looks just like the polish. Of course, not many people know that!

I was going to say the same thing – rose jade exists and its pink!
