Seeing a braless celebrity is a little like spotting a shooting star – it happens more often than you think it would. From Kate Moss to Lindsay Lohan, the minor epidemic spans across celebs of all ages. Luckily, in that there are lessons to be learned. Click through our slideshow for some of our favorite (unfortunately braless) starlets and the bras that would have fixed their bosom woes.

We’re not sure why Kate Moss left her camisole at home; she’s not hiding anything with those boxes.
-
NuBra’s Feather Light Adhesive Bra would have provided Kate with some support while still – against all odds – remaining unseen.
-
While we can’t help Britney with her crying kid, we can advise her that a one-shouldered top does not preclude the wearing of a bra.
-
What Brit-Brit needs is a seamless, convertible option. We like Aerie’s Abigail Pushup Bra, which is a convertible, versatile garment (wear it strapless, one-shouldered, racer-backed, etc.).

Honestly, LiLo’s doing about as well here as anyone can do in a strappy tank top worn sans brassiere. Nonetheless, things won’t be that way forever, and some support, at least as a lesson for the future, would have come in handy.
-
Lindsay could use Wacoal Luxe’s rather appropriately named (for her) Femme Fatale bra in black, which would have remained unobtrusively helpful beneath her tank.
-
Well, first and foremost, Kirsten Dunst really just needs to hike that drapey top up a little bit to cancel out numerous problems going on in this picture.
-
However, Kiki doesn’t strike us as someone who appreciates a lot of infrastrucutre. That’s fair enough. That said, Calvin Klein’s barely-there plunging microfiber stretch soft-cup bra would prevent a nip-slip and still let her feel like she was (almost) letting it all hang out.

Okay, so first off, we have to admit we’re crazy-impressed that not only can Katie Holmes run a marathon, she can do it braless. Really, that’s amazing. But still, something tells us Suri just wouldn’t approve of this look.

For those of us who definitively require some kind of underthing when it comes to running or any other exercise, give Road Runner Sport’s fitness bra a spin. It’s made from moisture-wicking fabric, it’s long enough to undo the need for wearing more than one layer, and it comes in five colors.
