We’re all feeling the recessionary pinch right now, so in order to help you save some money in the beauty department, SheFinds has scouted local drugstores to test affordable products that will have you looking your best without going broke. What: CoverGirl LineExact Liquid Liner Pen, $5.80
Why: I discovered the new CoverGirl liquid liner pen when they discontinued my old standy brush applicator and I had to find a substitute. Not exactly a good way to start a relationship, but with a pen-like container and felt tip, this is some of the easiest liquid eyeliner to apply. It also resists fading and won’t smudge, ensuring I don't look like a raccoon by happy hour.
The only downside is that if you’re not careful to screw the cap on tightly after each application, it will dry out quickly.

Love this idea… can you do one on hair products? Like shampoos or hairsprays? It seems like a black hole to test them on myself…
love the idea of these bargain posts, but I hated this pen! I used it on one eye and it worked beautifully but by the time I got to my second eye it already dried out and I couldn’t get it to apply nicely. Personally I don’t think it’s worth the money
Update on this product… I’ve been using it for about three weeks total, and it just went kaput. Worth $6? Still a buy in my book.
