Celebs are at it again, experimenting with their hair. We’re not talking about full-on wigs or a neon color job. Fake braids are popping up on many a famous head. Think, extension meets headband.
Please do not be tempted by these quick-fix locks. Learning to braid your own hair, headband-style, is not as hard as you think (see the video below). The bottom line is, if it’s not coming from your head, we suggest you leave it on the shelf. The risks you take (losing your locks during a late night romp with a new beau, for one) are bad enough.
But if you’re courageous enough to try the trend, we have a few guidelines. Be selective and play off some simple, thin braids that match your hair color as closely as possible. A double strand of braids ($7) would be a subtle way to start.
