At Jill Stuart’s show today and at New York Fashion Week in general, it’s impossible not to notice the attendees’ shoes. Strappy, laced, buckled, and black – it’s clear the dark, vampy look for shoes is going nowhere fast:
What are those, leg warmers? These legging-heels make my one pair of simple black booties seem so demure.
Booties with just a bit of embellishment are a little more versatile than the legging-heel.
A strappy shoe-boot is a nice piece of footwear to don at the beginning of fall.
I’ll get in on this trend with two different dark items. The Jeffrey Campbell Tick Wedge Bootie ($200) is slick and simple. However, I like this Madison Harding Lita Wedge ($290) for when I’m in the mood to keep up with the most fashion-forward of my style peers.
We’ve got more booties where those came from, as well as some higher options, with particularly of the moment thigh-high boots and foldover boots on deck.
