File LiLo’s Debut at Ungaro With The Unpopularity Department

Let’s take a moment to acknowledge that Tim Gunn is always right. After attributing Lindsay Lohan’s appointment as Ungaro’s artistic adviser to a “crack-smoking board of directors,” Gunn seems prescient as usual.  Ungaro showed their spring/summer 2010 collection yesterday and received a barrage of bad reviews.

One does suspect those are actually leggings from Lohan’s own 6126 collection.  And what is that heart thing on the poor model’s head?

We did, however, kind of like this white one-shouldered number.  The draping is pretty, if not groundbreaking, and the dress reminds us that there is indeed an actual designer (Estrella Archs) behind the collection, too.

Unfortunately, one dress does not a collection make.  The debut was called, among other things, a bad joke of a fashion show by the straight-talkers over at Vogue‘s online home.  We hope this means LiLo will get herself back into acting – we’ve been holding our breath for Mean Girls II for years at this point.

If you’re looking for Ungaro-esque clothing that recall’s the line’s 80s hey-day, we’d recommend getting some leggings, a cocktail dress, and a good pair of party shoes.
