As others have said, during this tough economic time, finances are complicated, with people at the office getting laid off and threats of more coming. But, complicating matters more, I’m in the midst of planning a bridal shower for my sister. So happy the wedding is coming, but there are not of expenses involved. And on top of that, there’s the guest-list dilemma. We have an aunt, who we have been estranged from for years, even though it’s our only relative who lives close to us. We’ve been slightly more in touch for the last two years, but not really close by any means. The dilemma is whether to invite her to the bridal shower and the wedding. We want these happy occasions to be drama-free. I just want to make this a joyful occasion for my sister, so I am hesitant to ask if she thinks we can include her in the shower.

Trying not to become jaded and bitter during my husbands illness…There are a million organizations for families dealing with a terminal illness of a child in the family…but what about the children of a terminally ill parent, the provider for the family? Are those kids just forgotten? A child doesnt contribute to the livelyhood of the family- when you take away the provider do those kids not suffer? My four are loosing everything- their dad, their home, transportation, graduation, college funds, FOOD! This has been the most difficult thing to choke down- that no one cares about those kids….. I guess I will have to create an organization of my own for children and families of terminally ill parents; oh wait! I am working three jobs, when can I do that? Yep, complicated.

I rent a two bedroom house with my sister and her family. At first it was going to just be me and my sister, then her boyfriend (now husband) moved in, and of course a baby soon followed. Oh, we also have three dogs. We are out of space. It’s complicated.

I was 53 years old when I went on Vacation to Florida for 6 months with my husband. While gone, I found out that my daughters, due to health issues with the grandchildren, had to have their blood typed and apparently….after 27 & 37 years…. their blood types don’t match their Dad’s and Mine. My former husband and my blood types don’t make their blood types…..This is just complicated enough to make another movie! especially when all their lives I was told something different from the Dr. who delivered them.
