After half a season of anticipation, things finally heated up between Don and school teacher Suzanne on a juicy episode of Mad Men last night. We’re almost as excited about all the drama as we are about the show moving into fall – which hopefully will mean some stylish jackets and scarves on Betty Draper and the ladies of Sterling Cooper.
For now though, we like the pretty floral dress Suzanne wore during her late night rendezvous with Don. Fitted at the top and with a pleated a-line skirt, this design is flattering in any decade. For a similar look, try some playful fall florals with tights and leather boots or maybe this sexy, 60s-inspired dress by Rag & Bone.
How about stocking up on some flattering pieces this season? You’ll find everything you need in our guides for the best pleated skirts, black dresses, and cheap shapewear.

This retro look was demonstrated by Shadow First Lady, Samantha Cameron at her husbands’ party conference. She chose to wear dresses from high street womenswear shops including this polka dot classic from Marks and Spencer – see http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/politics/david-cameron/6273509/Samantha-Cameron-shuns-designer-clothes-for-Marks-and-Spencer-dress.html and looked pretty fabulous – in a £65 dress!
