Today’s Good News & Bad News: Models Refuse To Wear High Heels, Westwood’s On To Wallpaper, More
First the Bad News:
Though we found out Stuart Weitzman is done with his million dollar Oscars shoe tradition [Stylelist]… Chickdowntown is facing debt problems [Pittsburgh Tribune-Review]…And models are declining offers to appear in fashion shows whose designers make them wear scary high-heeled shoes [The Cut]…
Now time for the Good News:
1. If you can’t get enough of Vivienne Westwood in your closet (or can’t afford it), the British designer has now has collaborated with Cole & Sons on a wallpaper collection, as reported by Vogue UK. The prints are taken directly from her old collections–dating all the way back to 1981. So even if you missed those years, your interiors can still get a fashionable piece of iconic Westwood history including a Squiggle print, Cut-out Lace print, and her signature Tartan, above, which looks just like a ruffled blouse, now ready-to-wear on your walls through Cole & Sons.
SheFinds Update: The wallpaper is not currently available in the U.S., so you might consider bribing your European friends to snag you some.
2. Actress Eva Longoria Parker, having been allergic to most fragrances, has created her own perfume to debut in April. We imagine the fragrance (titled
Eva by Eva Longoria) will be much less stuffy than most celebrity fragrances, as it promises to be light, new, and for every woman to wear. The 1.7-oz. version will retail for $45 and a 3.4-oz version for $58. [WWD]
