The Rachel Zoe Project is back, and, you guys, Rachel isn’t dying from anything. With T-minus five days until the Golden Globes, her fabulous world is going bananas. In a bad way.
Tasked with dressing a whole slew of stars, Rachel et al were at each other’s couture-clad throats from the get-go. Rachel got under Taylor’s skin by making sideways remarks about Taylor’s less-than-sample-size-worthy figure. Looks like there’s a war of Devil Wears Prada proportions brewing between the stylist and her protégé already.
But last night was really all about the red carpet finery. Rachel and her crew hit definite home runs with Eva Mendes’ white strapless Dior set off by the most gorgeous vintage turquoise bib necklace from Van Cleef . You can get a similar sparkler (sans security detail) at Banana Republic for $160.
And we were really on pins and needles waiting to see if Rachel’s plot to slash a sleeve from Karl Lagerfeld’s one-of-a-kind Chanel gown would pay off. In the end, the mega-designer agreed to Rachel’s alteration and Cameron Diaz ended up picking the look for her walk down the red carpet. Nicole Miller makes a hot pink asymmetrical dress ($140) you don’t have to break out the seam ripper to improve “for the American general public.”
